Trainee Counsellor & Psychotherapist

We are pleased to welcome Hazel, a counsellor and psychotherapist who offers a warm, empathetic, non-judgemental, and safe space where you can be your true self. Hazel believes that every person is unique, with their own experiences, strengths, and challenges, and with this in mind, she values meeting you exactly where you are. She works openly and honestly, fostering a genuine connection and trust, while supporting and encouraging you to explore what matters most to you.

Hazel's approach is person-centred and humanistic, with a holistic focus on understanding both your present difficulties and their deeper roots. She supports you in creating meaning in your life, building self-confidence, and developing greater self-awareness, working at a pace that feels right for you. She may also incorporate mindfulness as part of the therapeutic process where necessary.

With a background in hospitality, Hazel is a natural people person who creates a comfortable, welcoming environment where you can feel at ease discussing sensitive or difficult issues. She works with adults in person, offering counselling and psychotherapy in a calm and supportive setting.

Hazel is committed to offering compassionate, ethical, and respectful support, helping you feel heard, understood, and empowered as you navigate life’s challenges.

Hazel is currently studying a Bachelor of Arts Level 8 Honours degree in Holistic Counselling and Psychotherapy with ICPPD, and the course is accredited by the Irish Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (IACP).

She has completed a certificate in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) with The Academy for Modern Applied Psychology in Scotland.

Hazel has completed Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) and has also trained in social studies.
