Carol Loran

Qualified Fully Accredited Counsellor & Psychotherapist

We are delighted to welcome Carol, a qualified counsellor and psychotherapist with a BSc (Hons) degree in Counselling with Psychotherapy. She is a fully accredited member of the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP) and is dedicated to providing a compassionate and professional service to those seeking support.

Carol works with adults, adolescents, and young people under 16, offering both in-person and online sessions. She creates a safe, understanding, and non-judgemental therapeutic space where clients can speak freely, feel heard, and begin to explore their thoughts and emotions with confidence and care.

Her experience includes supporting clients through grief, depression, and anxiety, helping them to begin their journey of self-discovery and healing and to make meaningful, positive changes in their lives. Carol works with a variety of issues, including bereavement, family challenges, low mood, and stress, drawing on approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Humanistic, and Person-Centred Therapy.

Carol holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy. She is committed to ongoing training and continuous education in her personal and professional development by attending various workshops and training seminars. Carol is currently completing specialised training in Working as a Gatekeeper for Domestic Violence.

We are so grateful to Carol for dedicating part of her professional time to support Midlands Affordable Counselling in providing accessible, low-cost therapy.
